A Heart of Gratitude
Looking back, I can say this with certainty:
The highs in my life have not just been moments of happiness—they’ve been moments of confirmation.
Confirmation that God is present.
Confirmation that He is working.
Confirmation that faith, when rooted in Him, will not fail.
The promise of the Holy Spirit is celebrated with spiritual joy as a moment of empowerment, divine sealing, and grace.
And that changes everything.
Understanding Confirmation — Hearing and Recognizing God
One of the most powerful ways God strengthens our faith—especially in the highs—is through confirmation.
Confirmation is when God reassures you that you are on the right path, that what you’re sensing is from Him, or that He is actively working in your life. It doesn’t always come in loud or dramatic ways. Often, it’s quiet, consistent, and deeply personal.
It may look like:
- A Scripture that speaks directly to your situation
- A repeated message you hear in different places
- A deep, unexplainable peace about a decision (not being anxious)
- Wise counsel that aligns perfectly with what God has already placed on your heart (hearing that message from someone else- how God uses others)
God confirms His word not to confuse us—but to anchor us.
“In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” — 2 Corinthians 13:1
This verse reminds us that God often confirms things more than once. When you begin to notice patterns, repeated themes, or aligned messages, it is not a coincidence—it is intentional reassurance from God.
Living in Confirmed Faith
When you begin to recognize God’s confirmations, your faith shifts.
You move from:
- Questioning → Trusting
- Hesitating → Walking boldly
- Wondering → Knowing
The highs in life become more than blessings—they become evidence.
Evidence that God is guiding you.
Evidence that He is speaking.
Evidence that your faith is not in vain.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
