Life Has Been Good Through the Highs — And the Lord Has Strengthened My Faith

There are moments in life when everything feels aligned—joy is present, blessings are visible, and gratitude flows easily. The highs come like sunlight breaking through the clouds, reminding us that God is good.

But what I’ve come to understand is this: the beauty of the highs is not just in the moment itself—it’s in recognizing who carried me there.

Life has been good. Not perfect, not without challenge, but undeniably good. And through every high, the Lord has been steady, faithful, and present—strengthening a faith within me that continues to grow deeper.

Recognizing God in the Good

It’s easy to celebrate when life is going well. Prayers feel lighter. Worship feels effortless. Gratitude pours out naturally.

But the real transformation happens when we pause and say:

“Lord, this is You.”

Every blessing, every open door, every moment of peace—it all traces back to Him. The highs are not случайные (random); they are intentional glimpses of God’s goodness.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” — Psalm 126:3

Faith That Grows in Every Season

Strong faith isn’t built only in hardship—it’s also refined in blessing.

The highs teach us:

  • Not to become self-reliant
  • Not to forget where our strength comes from
  • Not to lose our dependence on God

Because even in abundance, we still need Him just as much.

Faith becomes stronger when we choose to stay grounded in God even when life feels easy.

Staying Anchored in the Lord

The truth is, life will always have seasons. Highs will come, and valleys will follow. But what matters most is what remains constant.

The Lord does not change.

When we anchor ourselves in Him:

  • Our joy is not temporary
  • Our peace is not fragile
  • Our faith is not shaken

We begin to live with a steady confidence—not because life is always good, but because God is always good.

A Heart of Gratitude

Looking back, I can say this with certainty:

The highs in my life have not just been moments of happiness—they’ve been moments of confirmation.

Confirmation that God is present.
Confirmation that He is working.
Confirmation that faith, when rooted in Him, will not fail.

The promise of the Holy Spirit is celebrated with spiritual joy as a moment of empowerment, divine sealing, and grace.

And that changes everything.

Understanding Confirmation — Hearing and Recognizing God

One of the most powerful ways God strengthens our faith—especially in the highs—is through confirmation.

Confirmation is when God reassures you that you are on the right path, that what you’re sensing is from Him, or that He is actively working in your life. It doesn’t always come in loud or dramatic ways. Often, it’s quiet, consistent, and deeply personal.

It may look like:

  • A Scripture that speaks directly to your situation
  • A repeated message you hear in different places
  • A deep, unexplainable peace about a decision (not being anxious)
  • Wise counsel that aligns perfectly with what God has already placed on your heart (hearing that message from someone else- how God uses others)

God confirms His word not to confuse us—but to anchor us.

“In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” — 2 Corinthians 13:1

This verse reminds us that God often confirms things more than once. When you begin to notice patterns, repeated themes, or aligned messages, it is not a coincidence—it is intentional reassurance from God.

Confirmation Through His Word

God will never contradict Himself. One of the clearest forms of confirmation is through Scripture.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.” — Amos 3:7

When you seek Him, He responds. When you ask for clarity, He provides direction—often through His Word.

If what you are feeling aligns with Scripture, reflects God’s character, and brings peace rather than confusion, it is often confirmation that you are walking in step with Him.

Trust this.

Confirmation Through Peace

Not every answer from God comes with a sign—sometimes it comes with peace.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7

There is a difference between excitement and peace.

Excitement can be emotional and temporary.
Peace is steady, grounded, and unshaken—even when circumstances are uncertain.

When God confirms something, it often settles your spirit rather than stirs anxiety.

Excitement is often fun and not bad, but it should be because you feel so sure it's God, not the world, leading you. This is how you find pure, true excitement with peace and no questions in your mind about it.

Guarding Against Misinterpretation

It’s important to stay discerning. Not every “open door” is from God, and not every good thing is God’s direction.

Confirmation will:

  • Align with Scripture
  • Reflect God’s character (truth, love, righteousness)
  • Bring clarity rather than confusion
  • Be consistent, not chaotic

“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” — 1 Corinthians 14:33

When we remain in prayer and in the Word, we become more sensitive to what is truly from Him.

My daily prayer includes asking God to allow others to see God in me. This invites Him into my heart, decisions, aligns my goals with His, and guides me on my spiritual journey with my best friend, Jesus! When I watch for the signs and have the inner peace, I know it is Him! Then only good can come from where He leads me, even when it's hard. He makes it work. It's fun to watch him work through me, and it excites me to see what he is about to do with where he leads me!

Living in Confirmed Faith

When you begin to recognize God’s confirmations, your faith shifts.

You move from:

  • Questioning → Trusting
  • Hesitating → Walking boldly
  • Wondering → Knowing

The highs in life become more than blessings—they become evidence.

Evidence that God is guiding you.
Evidence that He is speaking.
Evidence that your faith is not in vain.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Lord,
Thank You for the highs in life—for the joy, the peace, and the blessings I can see and feel. Thank You for the ways You confirm Your presence, Your direction, and Your promises.

Help me to recognize Your voice clearly. Give me discernment to know what is from You and what is not. Anchor me in Your Word so I am never led by confusion, but always by truth.

Strengthen my faith so it remains steady in every season. Keep my heart humble, my spirit sensitive, and my trust fully in You.

In every high, let me see Your hand. In every confirmation, let me grow closer to You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
